Ongoing two year certificated course leading to full membership of one of the countries largest Healing Associations, enabling you to practise healing anywhere in this country. Comprising of 3 by 6 week courses (1 evening per week) and then 1 evening per fortnight practise sessions, final assessment for certificate in Lincolnshire a small fee will be charged, you will need 80 clients in the two years for your assessment. Students will be required to join SYH (membership currently £10 per annum) & SSHA (membership fee currently £21 per annum including insurance premium). £70 for each of the 3 courses plus membership fee, plus £5 per fortnight during practise.(some concessions available). Course manual needs to be purchased after three months (currently £25)

Alternative: Membership of a smaller healing group where your present qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration for your healing certificate.Annual membership £10, basic insurance £7 per annum covering healing, and other low risk therapies (other covers available including mediumship at extra cost). Ongoing course which can take anything between 2 months and 2 years according to your present experience. Mostly home/self study. One full day hands on tutored workshop in Sheffield (required).Tutored teaching sessions as and when required £5 per session (optional) in Sheffield. Certificate on completion of course and assessment. You will need testimonials from 5 clients. Cost of this course is a one off payment of £30 (plus £5 per extra tutoring session) you will need to be a member of SYH and have taken out the appropriate insurance with us. This includes assessment, certificate and online manual.

Each Level is complete in itself you can stop at any level and as long as you are insured can use your Reiki on members of the public.

What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force, an energy which is all around us.
Natural Healing:
Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui, a professor of theology who lived in Japan in the last century. Dr Usui developed this healing system from ancient Buddhist teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. He spent the rest of his life practising and teaching Reiki. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive or learn to give a Reiki treatment, the only prerequisite is the desire to be healed.

A Reiki treatment:
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is a very simple process. The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. If they are unable to lie down, the treatment can be given in a sitting position, the main thing is for the recipient to be as comfortable as possible. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki will pass through anything even plaster casts. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. The wholeperson is treated rather than specific symptoms. A full treatment usually takes one to one and a half hours with each position held for several minutes.
